  • 100 Best Books - Selected by National Education Association in 1999, List is dated - but stil an excellent source for teachers and parents looking for books that have been tested by time and proven successful to use with young readers. FYI - I inlcuded this handout on my storytelling website to for educators to use as they promote reading to their students.  I have found that storytelling helps encourage and stimulate reading.  But, what books are good to recommend?  This list is a good starting place.
