Tales for the Young at Heart received the Preferred Choice Award from Creative Child Magazine for 2007. It is called the top storytelling CD for 2007 according to the magazine. It won won the 2007 "iParenting" Media Award. Owned by Disney Company, "iParenting" Media recognized Dr. Lockett's CDs for high quality when measuring them against industry standards to find the BEST products for children and families. A third award for this album was won in 2008 from NAPPA - the National Parenting Publications Award. Tales from the Hills and Tales from Around the World received the Seal of Excellence Award from Creative Child Magazine, certifying the CDs are child and family friendly and recommended by the magazine for purchase for use with children.


Tales of Delight Original DVD, Collection of twelve folktales for younger listeners performed by Dr. Mike Lockett, The Normal Storyteller. The stories in this production were created by Dr. Lockett for workshops sponsored by CETC Company in Taiwan. (Caves Educational Technology Company is dedicated to providing high quality educational materials for teaching English to the school children in Taiwan.) The stories in this production were told with great success by Dr. Lockett in his third tour of Taiwan prior to the recording session. The DVD is a collaborative effort between Dr. Lockett and CETC/CAVES Educational Company. Musical arrangements and post-production for the CD was done by Mike and Mark Lockett, Production in USA by Mark Lockett at Creative Sites Media, Normal, IL. Released August 2008.

Dr. Lockett is a contributing author in this E-Book created for the American Library Association's summer reading program, "Catch the Reading Bug."
